Shailesh Nepal has more than 15 years of construction and procurement management experience in the private sector and the United Nations. He has served as Project Manager of rural / feeder roads to highways and runways projects in Nepal. He has also served in the United Nations Peace Keeping Mission in Haiti and is currently Procurement Analyst -Infrastructures at the UN Office for Project Services Headquarters in Copenhagen, Denmark.

A civil engineer by profession, Shailesh holds Master’s degree in Public Procurement Management for Sustainable Development from International Training Centre of ILO and University of Turin, Italy.

He is the recipient of 2010 IPMA International Young Project Manager Award for his outstanding performance on a highly time-constrained Runway and Taxiway Overlay project of the sole international airport of Nepal.

A life member of PMAN, Shailesh served as a Founding President of Young Crew Nepal. From 2011 – 2015, he was also an active member of International Construction Project Management Association and an international correspondent for PM World Journal, USA.

He is PRiNCE-2 Practitioner and Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) by Institute for Supply Management, USA.

His field of expertise includes construction project management, procurement & supply chain and contract management. His special professional interests are procurement of sustainable public facilities, economics of sustainability in infrastructure projects, green supply chain, construction law and alternative dispute resolution.
